The amounts below are the current published totals with GST and the $4 YVR premium location charge included. The destination address determines the zone. If an address is directly on an accessible zone boundary, the lower applicable zone fare is charged.
Trips beyond Vancouver and Richmond use the regulated meter.
For YVR departures to destinations outside the published flat-fare zones, the Metro Vancouver common taxi meter applies and the $4 YVR premium location charge is added once per trip. The current Rule 9 meter starts at $3.75, charges the regulated distance rate, and adds waiting/low-speed time as applicable.
Important direction difference: trips to YVR generally use the applicable trip-start meter. The YVR zone schedule is specifically for taxi trips originating at the airport. Canada Place has its own separate regulated flat-fare rules.

How much is a taxi from YVR to downtown Vancouver?
The current published YVR Zone 208 fare to Canada Place / Downtown Vancouver is $46 including GST and the $4 YVR premium location charge. Gratuity is not included.
Are YVR taxi fares metered or flat?
Both can apply. YVR-to-Vancouver and YVR-to-Richmond destinations inside the published zone map use fixed fares. Destinations outside those zones use the regulated Metro Vancouver meter plus the $4 airport charge.
Can a taxi charge extra for luggage at YVR?
YVR states that freight or baggage charges for luggage are not permitted. A larger or additional vehicle may be needed if the luggage cannot be loaded safely.
Do YVR taxis accept cards?
YVR lists cash, credit card and debit card as accepted payment methods for airport taxis.
Can requested stops increase a YVR zone fare?
Yes. Under Rule 9, a requested stop of 10 minutes or less can add $6, with an additional regulated per-minute amount after the first 10 minutes.
