What can change the final meter?
A metered estimate can differ from the physical taxi meter because of the route actually driven, traffic signals, low-speed time, requested stops and waiting. TaxiRates separates official flat fares from meter estimates so the pricing method is clear.

Is the TaxiRates estimate a guaranteed taxi quote?
No. Metered trips are estimates because the physical meter responds to the actual distance and low-speed or waiting time. An official flat fare is identified separately when the regulator publishes one.
Does TaxiRates include tax in the Richmond rate?
The B.C. Passenger Transportation Board amounts displayed on this page are the published rates with GST included. Optional gratuity is not part of the regulated meter amount.
Are booking partners allowed to change the fare shown here?
No. The fare calculation is independent from affiliated or sponsored booking partners. Partner cards are commercial booking options and do not determine which tariff TaxiRates applies.
