For context, the B.C. Passenger Transportation Board’s Sea-to-Sky limousine minimums are $245 for a sedan from Vancouver to Whistler and $300 from YVR to Whistler, before GST. Destiny Limousine currently publishes executive-sedan starting base fares of $399 from Downtown Vancouver and $424 from YVR. These are sponsored private-transfer prices with a pre-booked, guaranteed pickup for a confirmed reservation; taxes, gratuity and itinerary-specific charges can change the final total.

What can change the final fare?

Metered trips can change with the route actually driven, low-speed or stopped time, requested stops and the specific taxi company. TaxiRates labels an estimate separately from an official fixed fare.

Ride-hail is a different rate system

B.C. ride-hail companies use Passenger Transportation Board minimum rates, but their final app price is not the same as a taxi meter. TaxiRates does not substitute a TNS minimum for a taxi fare.

Does a private black car use the taxi meter?

No. A pre-booked black car or limousine is a separate service category. Any sponsored private-transfer price is displayed separately and does not affect the taxi calculation.
