Ottawa taxi fares use fixed meter increments.
For one to six passengers, Schedule B sets $3.80 for the first 150 metres or part thereof, $0.18 for each additional 86 metres or part thereof, and $0.18 for each 24 seconds of waiting time or part thereof. When an approved app is used, Ottawa permits a disclosed fare equal to or below the tariff and may allow a vehicle/service surcharge up to $15. TaxiRates models the standard regulated meter, not a broker-specific app promotion or surcharge.
