YYC taxi pricing

The airport fare is not a fixed downtown zone.

YYC says taxi fares are based on meter rates. TaxiRates uses Calgary’s maximum regulated meter, then adds the current airport access charge appropriate to the trip direction.

The current terminal pickup access fee is $5.10 + GST.

02Going to YYC.

The current airport-campus drop-off fee is $4.60 + GST.

YYC’s $40–$45 downtown figure is guidance under normal driving conditions, not a guaranteed flat fare.

Taxi pickup

Taxi stands are on the Arrivals level.

YYC currently lists taxi stands at Arrivals Doors 1, 9 and 15. Airport taxis can generally accommodate four or five adult guests, and vans are available for excess luggage.

Calgary meter

The City maximum still matters at the airport.

For street-hail and traditional dispatch taxi pricing, Calgary’s current maximum starts at $4.50 for the first 120 metres and then $0.23 for each additional 120 metres above the crossover speed. A taxi company may charge less.
