St. John’s uses the City meter; YYT adds published airport hotel fares.
The City tariff is $3.92 for the first 0.1 km plus $0.218 for each additional 0.1 km. YYT publishes fixed departure fares of $21–$60 for named hotel categories and uses the City meter plus a $5 surcharge for other airport-origin destinations.
Corner Brook, Mount Pearl, Paradise, Deer Lake, Gander, Happy Valley-Goose Bay and Labrador West keep their stronger local rules.
TaxiRates does not flatten these markets into a provincial average. Published municipal meters, zone fares, named airport flats and regional flat fares are evaluated before any broader estimate.
Numeric estimates are available when a complete local tariff is not public.
Grand Falls-Windsor now uses its published Town tariff for local trips. Marystown has a verified $70 per-person TaxiRates.ca route to St. John's, and Stephenville/YJT has verified TaxiRates.ca private-transfer pricing. Other regional communities still use the planning reference only when no stronger rule is available.
