How Stratford’s local taxi fare cap works
Stratford’s Schedule D uses a citywide maximum structure for passenger trips. For an ordinary ride anywhere within the corporate limits, the published maximum is $16.00. For three or more passengers, the maximum is $17.00. The schedule says the listed rates include HST, so TaxiRates does not add tax again to the maximum fare.

Senior, waiting, luggage and stop rules
The same schedule lists an ordinary senior maximum of $15.00, rising to $16.00 for three or more people in that category. Children under 12 accompanied by an adult are free under the published schedule. Requested waiting time is $60.00 per hour.
The tariff also lists $1.00 over the base rate for groceries, luggage, strollers and similar items, plus $5.00 for a stop or drop along the way. TaxiRates does not add those optional charges automatically because the current form does not ask whether they apply.
Why route distance is not the main Stratford price driver
For a normal in-city passenger trip, the published maximum applies anywhere within Stratford rather than scaling the basic fare directly with routed kilometres. TaxiRates therefore shows the regulated maximum instead of manufacturing a distance formula that is not in Schedule D.
