How the meter works

Saskatoon charges stopped waiting separately.

TaxiRates calculates the distance portion from the verified meter increments. Because Saskatoon charges the time increment only while the taxi is fully stopped, ordinary Google traffic delay is not converted into a waiting charge.

i

A van taxi carrying more than four passengers, or luggage/freight that cannot fit in a sedan, can be charged 1.5 times the meter amount. TaxiRates models the standard taxi fare.

Airport

YXE gives passengers a meter-or-zone choice.

For Saskatoon Airport trips, passengers may choose the general meter or the airport’s official flat-zone fare. The $2 YXE commercial curb fee is included either way. TaxiRates currently calculates the meter option and adds the verified $2 fee.
