Meter rule

Regina waiting time is not ordinary traffic time.

The tariff adds waiting time after the first five minutes of qualifying waiting/standing. TaxiRates therefore uses the regulated distance increments for the route estimate and does not convert normal road congestion into that passenger-specific waiting charge.

Regina permits up to a $1 electronic-payment transaction fee and certain baggage/service extras. TaxiRates does not silently add optional or trip-specific extras.

Airport

YQR trips can add the actual airport trip fee.

Regina’s Taxi Bylaw permits the airport’s per-trip transportation fee to be added to a taxi fare. YQR currently publishes a $2 pickup or drop-off fee for commercial vehicles with 1–7 seats, so TaxiRates includes $2 on normal taxi trips to or from YQR.
