YQF is active, but not for scheduled public passenger flights
Red Deer Regional Airport currently states that it does not offer public passenger service. Charter service remains available, and the airport continues to support aviation, industrial and business activity in Central Alberta.
TaxiRates keeps an airport page for charter passengers and future service changes, but clearly labels the current status so users do not mistake YQF for a scheduled airline terminal.
Airport-listed options
YQF lists Alberta Gold Taxi, Arrow Limousine & Sedan Services and Uber among its ground-transportation options. Those providers can serve charter passengers and airport users travelling between Springbrook, Red Deer and surrounding Central Alberta communities.
The airport does not publish a universal taxi flat fare to downtown Red Deer.
Why YQF remains guide-only
Red Deer’s vehicle-for-hire by-law requires taxi brokerages to establish and post their own rates and surcharges. Because those prices can differ by brokerage, TaxiRates will not create one synthetic Red Deer meter and apply it to YQF.
Confirm the current operator rate or quoted airport amount before the trip.
