How the meter works
Time or distance, not both at the same time.
The Québec meter uses distance when the vehicle is above the tariff’s transition speed and time when it is below that speed. TaxiRates uses the mapped route and traffic-aware estimate rather than simply adding full travel time on top of the per-kilometre charge.
Airport connection
Sept-Îles Airport (YZV) uses the same provincial tariff.
Transport Canada lists Taxi Carillon and Coop Taxi du Nord for YZV ground transportation. TaxiRates applies the current Québec regulated taxi tariff to the route.
